A Letter from our President...
CAPTAIN’S COURSE MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
February, 2008
Dear Members & Future Members,
Spring is on the way and with that another season of golf at Cape Cod’s most prestigious municipal golf facility. The Board of Directors for the Men’s Association (CCMGA) continues to advocate for its members as well as sponsoring events that promote a competitive and fun atmosphere on the course.
2008 will see us continue that which has been successful in the past while constantly looking to find new programs that our membership can enjoy and hopefully we see more participants in these events.
Ongoing events:
Wednesday Play - 32 weeks of block play.
Two Week Tournaments - We will have one in the spring (May 21st and 28th) and one in the summer (August 6th and 13th).
Nine & Dine - 4 events taking place the last Sunday in June, July, August and September.
Texas Hold’em - One event in the spring and one in the fall.
Awards Banquet and Ladies Mixer - This will take place September 24th.
Sponsored programs:
Scholarship - We award a $1000 scholarship to a Nauset High School senior every year.
Volunteer opportunities - The association is always looking at ways to improve the course. Yardage marker installation and divot details have been two of these programs.
Membership Directory - Published every year.
CCMGA Website - This website.
We need your support and your participation in the association. As in the past we ask all of you to please help us by joining the CCMGA in 2008. Thank you.
Ed Lewis
President

a Huge Success!
Thanks to everyone who turned out to play in our 3rd annual Texas Hold-em fundraiser last week. We had 44 players and raised over $2000 and paid out over $2000 in prizes. Great job by Larry and Buster and all the dealers for making this such a great event.
If you missed this event we will be hosting another one this fall. Stay tuned for details.
