make the best score at each hole in every round the player plays, regardless of where the round is played, and that the player will post every acceptable round.<\/p>\n Post all<\/span> scores for both match play and medal play<\/em>, even if you just shot the worst or best round of your life!<\/p>\n Post scores as soon as possible after the round is played.<\/p>\n If you are in Florida or somewhere else warm during the winter playing golf, you must post those scores as soon as possible once our computers at Captains are activated.<\/p>\n You must post an 18 hole score if you complete at least 13 holes.\u00c2\u00a0 If you complete at least 7, but not more than 12, you must post a 9 hole score.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 On the holes you didn’t play, record a score of par plus any handicap strokes you would have received.\u00c2\u00a0 Attempts to intentionally quit play to avoid posting a score are considered manipulation to influence your handicap and can result in penalty scores being posted by the Handicap Committee.<\/p>\n When you pick up or have conceded a hole without finishing the hole, for handicap purposes, you post the score you most likely would have made<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 The most likely score consists of the number of strokes already taken plus, in your best judgment, the number of strokes you would need to complete the hole more than half the time from where you picked up.\u00c2\u00a0 This number may not exceed your Equitable Stroke Control limit, and should be entered on your card with an “X” to show the hole was not finished.\u00c2\u00a0 There is no limit to the number of unfinished holes a player may have in a round provided that failure to finish is not for the purpose of handicap manipulation.<\/p>\n Equitable Stroke Control<\/strong> (ESC) is the downward adjustment of individual hole scores for handicap purposes in order to make handicaps more representative of a player’s potential scoring ability.\u00c2\u00a0 The maximum score you can take depends on your Course Handicap (not your Index):<\/p>\n If a mistake is made for a score entered into the system, please notify one of the pros so that the mistake can be corrected.<\/p>\n Peer review is an important aspect of the handicap system.\u00c2\u00a0 Each player is responsible for ensuring that the handicap rules are followed.\u00c2\u00a0 If a player observes a breach of the rules, the player should bring the breach to the attention of the person who has committed it.\u00c2\u00a0 If the breach is not corrected, the person observing the breach should report it to the Handicap
