Jim Lane passed away on April 23, 2015, after a brief illness. Jim was a long time member of the CCMGA and worked at the front desk at Captains’. He was always helpful and had a great sense of humour. He will be missed.
Calling hours are on Tuesday (4/28/15) from 4PM to 7PM at Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans.
On Wednesday (4/29/15) at 11AM, a Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Cape in Brewster. There will be a reception in the church hall following the Mass.
On Thursday (4/30/15) Jim will be laid to rest in Bourne at the National Cemetery, 11:30AM. Sheila Lane has indicated that all are welcome.
Out of respect for Jim Lane, the CCMGA has cancelled this Wednesday’s tournament.

The official start of the Captains golf season is right around the corner. As you make your plans for the new year, we urge you to join and become an active member of the Captains Course Men’s Golf Association (CCMGA).
The CCMGA exists to organize competitions and events throughout the year, to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship, and to support the operation of Captains for the benefit of all members and guests. The CCMGA sponsors a full calendar of events during the year including:
The CCMGA is the proud sponsor of an annual scholarship awarded to an outstanding college-bound student from the Nauset High School golf team. We provide charitable support to The First Tee, Junior Golf Day at Captains, and the Lower Cape Outreach Council tournament. We sponsor the food and beverage for the Captains Invitational Tournament. Â In short, the CCMGA is active and involved.
CCMGA membership is still only $20. Our organization will be better if you are a member. If you were a member of the CCMGA in the past, we thank you for your support and look forward to your membership this year. If you were not a member in the past, we hope you will join us in making the upcoming golf season the best it can be.
