Dates: Saturday & Sunday, May 15th & 16th, 2010
Courses: Starboard for all matches on Saturday, Port for all matches on Sunday
Fee: $50 per team. The fee includes coffee & pastries both days and prizes. Carts are not included.
Deadline: Monday, May 10th or the first 60 teams to sign up.
Format: Match play, better ball of the two person team. There will be six teams in each flight. Teams will be flighted by combined U.S.G.A. index. Each team will play one 9-hole match against each team in their flight. One point is awarded for winning a hole, a half a point is awarded for halving a hole. In addition, one point is awarded to the team that wins a match, or a half point is awarded to each team if the match is halved. The team with the most points at the end of all the matches wins the flight. Prizes will be paid for first and second place.
Schedule: Tee times will begin at 6:30 a.m. both days off of the 1st and 10th tees. We cannot accommodate any special tee time or pairing requests due to this format. On Saturday you will play three 9-hole matches and two 9-hole matches on Sunday.
Handicaps: Each player’s handicap will be adjusted to a 9-hole handicap based on the course that they are playing. Strokes are awarded off of the low player’s handicap in the match. For example, if player “A” has a 5 handicap, player “B” has a 4 handicap, player “C” has a 3 handicap, and player “D” has a 6 handicap, player “A” will receive 2 shots, player “B” will receive 1 shot, player “C” will receive 0 shots, and player “D” will receive 3 shots. PLAYERS MUST HAVE A VERIFIABLE HANDICAP WITH AT LEAST TEN (10) SCORES POSTED SINCE MAY 15, 2009.
Tees: White markers. Those 75 and older may play from the gold tees. PLEASE INDICATE WHEN YOU SIGN UP IF YOU INTEND TO PLAY THE GOLD TEES.
